Packing 101....

Truly, I've done nothing to clean the house. So, in a few hours, I'll be in a frenzy. I'm obsessing over all the shoes I want to bring which is odd because I hate actually shopping for shoes. I think it's because Dan's obsessed with his shoes. I haven't even figured out what clothes to bring. Our apartment has a washer in it. Thank goodness for that!

Dan was thinking that we could bring a third suitcase with us that Kayla could drag. I had to remind him that we will have a 2nd child on the way back. Now, Kayla likes Daddy to hold her which is difficult enough if you think about the fact that he would be dragging his own suitcase. It would be ten times more difficult if Daddy had to drag two suitcases (we all know it would happen that way). For the travelling portions of the trip, we should just consider ourselves sherpas and move on. We do need a picture of all three of us with our backpacks which would be hilarious.

It is easier to just bring less. It's just harder with a 4-year-old. They come with 'stuff'. Mostly stuff for Kayla, but also for Nicolai. I don't know how it's going to be in Russia, but Kayla gets dirty the minute she walks outside. If there's a puddle, she's stepped in it. One of her favorite games is saving the animals from the muddy mud pit! Must bring Kraft macaroni and cheese. Need to be prepared.

This will most likely be our last post for a few days. We expect to arrive very early on Saturday morning which translates to mid-day Friday Minnesota time. Hopefully, we can provide an update shortly after that.

Take care!!
Sue
